This website presents a platform for development of multimedia cases for use in teaching. PharmaPaC started as a joint project of the Karolinska Institutet and Stanford University and made possible by a grant of the Wallenberg Global Learning Network. A collaboration between Unit of Drug Management and Informatics (Janus), the Karolinska Institutet and Department of Interactive Media and Learning, Umeĺ University in Sweden and SUMMIT, Stanford School of Medicine in the United States have resulted in a project called PharmaPaC, which have been used in two joint courses in Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics in 2001 and 2002.

The tool is now being implemented in regular courses at Karolinska Institutet as well as at Stanford University.

We have created a teaching system based on problem-oriented learning, presented as WEB-based interactive cases. Each case is linked to several sites, providing additional information.
